Andrew Dodge enjoys beauty Palm Beach From his house on Wells Road.
But about a year ago, an investment less than two miles south at 248 Park Ave. He bought a 1927 cottage.
Dodge, who has homes in Southampton, New York, and Haverford, Pennsylvania, said he has decided to return to the business from real estate investing.
He runs two Pennsylvania companies in Lancaster County – PF America Inc., a wholesaler of resilient flooring to commercial and industrial customers; And Laurel Harvest Labs, a medical marijuana company, is a research partner with the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
“You don’t know if you’re good until you explore other avenues,” he explains.

The bungalow is several houses west of Bradley Place on Park Avenue, third street north of Royal Poinciana Way.
Dodge is motivated to buy the bungalow because it reminds him of nearby cottages and cozy homes, which he finds attractive. The bungalow has been meticulously maintained by the previous owner over the years.
“When I walked in, it looked like a house that belonged to my beloved aunt,” he recalls.
Nodding to the built era, the enclosed front porch runs the width of the street frontage.
On the balcony, glass doors open directly into the living room, which has a wood-burning stove and a vaulted ceiling. The dining room is just nearby. At the back of the floor plan are three guest rooms and a kitchen, while the master bedroom is upstairs.

Dodge repainted it and made other improvements to the bungalow, including sanding down the original wood floors and installing high-end vinyl flooring. He also cleared the existing landscape and added new plants.
“We also removed a kitchen on the second floor,” he added. “It reminded me of our daughter’s Barbie Doll kitchen. We took that out completely, which opened up a sitting room for the bedroom.
And now Dodge is ready to focus its attention elsewhere.
“Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America and there is a lot of work to be done around the track. “It’s good to focus and concentrate on what I do well – and it’s fun,” he said. “I’m better at building businesses.”
